Zhizhan Technology and STMicroelectronics Collaborate on Developing SiC Electric Compressor Controllers

Zhizhan Technology and STMicroelectronics recently announced that the two parties have successfully cooperated to develop an electric vehicle air-conditioning compressor controller based on third-generation SiC MOSFET technology. The controller has high energy efficiency and can effectively extend the cruising range of new energy vehicles. This controller from Zhizhan Technology uses STMicroelectronics’ 1200V SiC MOSFET technology and combines the company’s unique heat dissipation solution and thermal protection design, thereby significantly improving the thermal management efficiency of electric vehicles and improving air conditioning compression. The NVH performance of the machine promotes the miniaturization of the electric compressor system and has a stronger ability to continuously reduce costs. Zhizhan Technology has become a supplier of mature mass-produced air-conditioning compressor controllers based on silicon carbide solutions on new energy vehicle 400V, 800V, and 1000V platforms, and is expected to achieve considerable shipments by the end of 2023.
