Beijing Institute of Technology develops a new heat pump PTC coupling heating strategy to successfully reduce the heating energy consumption of electric vehicles

The research team of the School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering of Beijing Institute of Technology recently developed a new heat pump PTC coupling heating strategy to reduce the heating energy consumption of electric vehicles in cold environments. This strategy optimizes the heating process by pre-intervening PTC in the heating inefficiency area of ​​the heat pump system. Experiments have shown that compared with traditional strategies, this new strategy can effectively reduce the heating energy consumption of electric vehicles and increase the driving range.
