Changan Automobile Zhu Huarong: Semi-solid-state batteries are expected to be launched by the end of 2026

Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Changan Automobile, said at the Changan Automobile 2023 Performance Briefing that the semi-solid-state battery developed by the group will be available on the market by the end of 2026. Changan Automobile plans to launch eight self-developed battery cells, including liquid, semi-solid and solid, by 2030, forming a battery production capacity of 50-80GWh. In addition, Changan Automobile also stated that it will deepen the development of new electrolyte materials and key processes for semi-solid and solid-state batteries, and develop leading solid-state batteries based on vehicle needs.
