CARIAD and ThunderSoft established a joint venture in China, CARThunder

In April 2023, CARIAD announced the establishment of a joint venture with ThunderSoft in China. This is the second joint venture established by CARIAD in China. After the establishment of the company, CARIAD and ThunderSoft will hold 49% and 51% of the shares respectively. The two parties will focus on the research and development and testing of software products and solutions in the field of intelligent connectivity and infotainment systems, and provide software development services such as operating systems, human-computer interaction interfaces, cockpits and cloud.
