Rohm suffers losses as it upgrades to 8-inch wafers

Rohm, Japan's largest silicon carbide wafer and equipment maker, swung to a loss in the three months to September, its first in more than a decade, citing lower sales to the automotive industry, especially to Chinese electric vehicle makers, for its silicon carbide power devices.
