Intel cancels acquisition of Tower Semiconductor

Last August, Intel announced the termination of its acquisition of Tower Semiconductor due to the inability to obtain regulatory approval required by the merger agreement in a timely manner. Under the terms of the merger agreement, Intel paid Tower Semiconductor a termination fee of $353 million.
