ROHM Semiconductor adjusts silicon carbide business strategy

Rohm Semiconductor recently adjusted its investment plan and growth targets for its silicon carbide business. The company originally planned to invest 510 billion yen in the silicon carbide business from 2021 to 2027, but now it has adjusted it to 470 billion to 480 billion yen. At the same time, its sales target of 110 billion yen in fiscal 2025 has also been postponed to 2026-2027. Rohm Semiconductor is promoting the mass production of 8-inch silicon carbide and plans to launch a new generation of products every two years to improve its competitiveness.
