ZMC acquires Pure Wafer to boost U.S. wafer fab capacity expansion

Pure Wafer, a US silicon wafer solutions and services provider, recently announced that ZMC, a leading private equity group headquartered in New York, has acquired the company, including its six key synergistic silicon wafer services and solutions businesses: silicon wafer recycling, thin film, parts cleaning, wafer brokerage, wafer management and professional foundry services. After being acquired by ZMC, Pure Wafer will enter a new growth phase and make significant investments in the capacity expansion of its US wafer fabs, including significant investments in advanced technologies and tools to meet the needs of top semiconductor original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the semiconductor integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) they serve.
