NovaSensor was founded in 1985 as Lucas NovaSensor, co-founded by MEMS master Kurt E. Petersen. In 1999, TRW Automotive acquired NovaSensor; in 2002, General Electric (GE) acquired NovaSensor from TRW; in 2013, Amphenol acquired GE's advanced sensor business unit (including NovaSensor).
