Kioxia expects new demand after shipping samples of new-generation NAND flash memory

Kioxia has begun shipping samples of its latest generation of NAND flash memory. The company produces chips in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture in central Japan, and has enough space to cope with a possible increase in demand. Kioxia's executive vice president Tomoharu Watanabe said, "By having the Kitakami plant operational by autumn next year, we should have enough space to cope."
