Baidu and Geely invested in Jidu, received nearly US$400 million in Series A financing, and are expected to launch mass-produced models in 2023

Jidu announced on January 26 that it had completed a nearly $400 million Series A financing round, jointly completed by Baidu and Geely. Jidu is committed to creating car robots rather than traditional smart electric vehicles. Its first car robot concept car will be released at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year, and the mass-produced model will be launched in 2023. Jidu chose to use Qualcomm's 4th generation Snapdragon Automotive Digital Cockpit Platform 8295 for its smart cockpit, which is the latest benchmark in the current automotive industry.
