BAIC Motors reaches cooperation with Egypt's Alkan

BAIC Motors recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOA) with Alkan Auto, a subsidiary of Egypt International Automobile Group, to jointly build a factory in Egypt. The factory will produce two models of BAIC brand, U5 Plus and EU5, and is expected to start production in 2025. This project not only meets the needs of the local market, but also targets export needs in the Middle East and Africa.
