Samsung may solve Nvidia's interposer shortage problem

Due to the shortage of interposers, Nvidia may have to place orders with Samsung. Samsung is one of the few chipmakers that can design and produce its own interposers, and has both HBM and 2.5D packaging production capabilities. Last month, Samsung replaced the head of its chip division, a move that is seen as a response to the pressure of lagging behind competitors in the field of high-bandwidth memory (HBM). Recently, there have been reports that Samsung failed to win the contract from Nvidia.
