Shanghai Electric Drive Co., Ltd. (its wholly-owned subsidiary: Shanghai Automotive Electric Drive Co., Ltd.) was established in July 2008, mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of energy-saving and new energy vehicle motor drive systems. The team's research directions cover all aspects of the field, including electromagnetic design, mechanical design, process tooling, control algorithm, control hardware, control software, system reliability, powertrain and control, etc. The company has formed an efficient product development process and has the ability to develop multiple electric drive projects at the same time. It has successively developed more than 200 electric drive systems for domestic vehicle companies. The company has a laboratory with new product development, testing and verification of electric drive systems, with a testing capacity of 15000rpm@500Nm, 5000rpm@3000Nm, and a number of test benches of 30 sets. It has the design and development, performance verification, durability, waterproof and dustproof, product design verification and other testing capabilities of new energy vehicle motors and their control systems. In 2012, the National Motor Vehicle Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Shanghai) Electric Drive Testing Base was built, which has the ability to conduct announcement testing of new energy vehicle drive motor systems, and has completed more than 120 sets of announcement tests on automotive motors and their control systems.
