ASRock plans to move manufacturing out of mainland China in response to new tariffs

Faced with the new US policy of imposing a 10% tariff on goods imported from mainland China, Taiwan's ASRock has decided to move its manufacturing operations out of mainland China. The move is aimed at circumventing the increased costs of new tariffs, which would in turn lead to higher prices for consumers and disruption to the supply chain. Products covered by the new tariffs include essential goods such as electronics and computer hardware, the prices of which are expected to increase significantly. "For other products such as GPU graphics cards, the 10% tariff will take some time to shift manufacturing to other countries/regions," ASRock said in an email. The company also mentioned plans to work with manufacturers in Vietnam and Taiwan, although it may take years to fully migrate to new markets.
