Compared with battery manufacturers, Chinese automakers are investing faster, and most Chinese auto factories in Thailand have already or are about to start production. In July this year, BYD's factory in Rayong Province, Thailand was completed. The factory is BYD's first overseas passenger car factory, with an annual production capacity of about 150,000 vehicles after completion, including four major processes and parts factories for complete vehicles. At the same time, BYD held a ceremony for the 8 millionth new energy vehicle to roll off the production line at its Thai factory. In addition, Great Wall Motor's Thailand factory will officially start production in 2021; SAIC MG's Thailand joint venture factory will roll off the production line in November 2023, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles; Nezha Automobile's Thailand factory will also start production in November 2023, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 vehicles; Changan Automobile's Thailand factory was laid in November 2023, with a first-phase production capacity of 100,000 vehicles/year, and is scheduled to start production in 2025; Chery Automobile's Thailand factory will start production in 2025, with an annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles, and the second phase will start production in 2028, with an annual production capacity of 80,000 vehicles.
