Rapid development of OTA upgrades in the automotive industry in the first half of 2024

In the first half of 2024, the pace of OTA upgrades in China's new energy vehicle industry accelerated, with 74 brands pushing 290 versions, covering more than 350 models. Independent brands such as Wenjie, Zeekr, and Avita are leading in OTA upgrades, while joint venture brands such as Cadillac maintain a monthly update rhythm. The improvement in user acceptance and satisfaction with OTA is mainly due to the rapid introduction of new functions and timely repairs of problems. In addition, every optimization of smart driving and smart cockpits is inseparable from user co-creation. Although most car companies still have room for improvement in user experience, the positive experience of OTA is driving a change in users' car purchasing consumption concepts.
