AMD announces two automotive-grade chips

At CES2024, processor giant AMD showcased its latest innovations in the automotive field, and officially announced the launch of two automotive-grade chips, namely the Ryzen Embedded V2000A for the smart cockpit, and the Versal AI Edge XA adaptive chip for ADAS, further expanding its strength in the field of automotive chip applications. The Ryzen Embedded V2000A series processors can provide support for the next generation of automotive digital cockpits. This chip is built on a 7nm process, "Zen 2" core, and a high-performance AMD Radeon Vega 7 graphics card, providing a new level of performance; AMD's Versal AI Edge XA adaptive SoC will be equipped with an advanced AI engine for AI computing, vision, and signal processing. This will enable the device to be further optimized for many next-generation advanced automotive systems and applications, including front-view cameras, in-car monitoring, LiDAR, 4D radar, surround view, automatic parking, and autonomous driving.
