According to recent foreign media reports, SoftBank Group tried to cooperate with Intel on the production of AI chips to compete with Nvidia. However, the plan ultimately failed because Intel could not meet SoftBank's needs. SoftBank originally intended to use Arm's design and Graphcore's technology to produce products that could rival Nvidia. SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son plans to invest billions of dollars in hopes of putting the company at the center of the "AI boom." His grand plan covers everything from chip production to software development, aiming to power data centers that will house SoftBank's processors. SoftBank is currently in discussions with TSMC.
