TSMC, Bosch, Infineon and NXP jointly establish European semiconductor manufacturing company

European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (ESMC), a joint venture between TSMC, Bosch, Infineon and NXP, held a groundbreaking ceremony in Dresden, Germany on August 21, officially launching land preparation for TSMC's first European semiconductor factory. The factory is expected to start construction later this year. TSMC CEO Wei Zhejia presided over the ceremony, and German Chancellor Scholz and European Commission President von der Leyen attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
