Intel announced that ASML's first two cutting-edge lithography machines have been put into use in its factory, and preliminary results show that they are more reliable than earlier models. According to Steve Carson, Intel's senior principal engineer, using ASML's high numerical aperture (High NA) EUV lithography machine, Intel can produce 30,000 wafers in a quarter. These large silicon wafers can be used to produce thousands of computing chips.
