Hi4 is a plug-in hybrid four-wheel drive platform independently developed by Great Wall Motors. It is equipped with a 1.5L/1.5T engine and is driven by a dual motor with a front 70kW and a rear 150kW. Although the power of the front motor is relatively low, as the engine of a plug-in hybrid vehicle, it can still participate in the drive, making the power of the front and rear axles relatively balanced and the overall power level is also quite outstanding. The hybrid four-wheel drive system has been applied to three vehicles: Haval Xiaolong MAX, Haval Raptor and Haval second-generation Big Dog. The prices of these three vehicles overlap, and the main difference lies in the design style. After the launch of Haval Raptor, the sales of Xiaolong MAX declined. Recently, the Hi4 version of the second-generation Big Dog has also been launched, and its future sales performance remains to be seen. At present, the Haval brand lacks a compact Hi4 SUV positioned in the 110,000-150,000 yuan range, and other brands have not yet launched four-wheel drive hybrid models in this price range. Therefore, Haval H6 is expected to return to the top of the SUV sales list. If the new Haval H6 is equipped with the Hi4 system, it will have an overwhelming advantage over similarly priced front-wheel drive hybrids such as the BYD Song Pro/Plus DM-i, Changan Qiyuan Q05, and Blue Electric E5, and its sales should exceed the peak level of the Song Pro DM-i. Of course, the above content is just an assumption, and the new Haval H6 is likely to remain a fuel-powered vehicle.
