Akio Toyoda warned companies that blindly pursue "annual production of more than 10 million vehicles" that the larger the scale, the more difficult it is to manage, the slower the decision-making, and the easier it is to focus on cost control rather than product value. He believes that when a company's annual production reaches 10 million vehicles, mass production tends to be concentrated in the lowest cost area, and the product becomes a "commodity".
