Among the joint venture automakers producing foreign brands, the company with the highest sales of new energy passenger cars in May was Spotlight Automotive (a joint venture between Great Wall Motor and BMW, headquartered in Zhangjiagang), followed by SAIC-GM, SAIC Volkswagen, and Dongfeng Nissan. As the world's first production and export base for the all-electric MINI under the BMW Group, Spotlight Automotive sold 9,471 all-electric MINI ACEMAN and all-electric MINI COOPER in May, of which 7,232 were exported (accounting for 76.4% of its total sales).
