Samsung Electronics increases NAND Flash production line capacity utilization to 80%

Samsung Electronics' V8 NAND Flash production line at its Pyeongtaek campus in South Korea has reached 80% capacity utilization, a significant increase from the 60%-70% range in the second quarter. This change is primarily due to the increasing demand for memory chips driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and rising NAND Flash market prices. Samsung's V8 NAND Flash product, which will begin mass production at the end of 2022, boasts a stack of 236 layers and a monthly production capacity of approximately 100,000 wafers.
