STMicroelectronics' business performance varies across its divisions

Looking at the business performance of each division, compared to the same period last year: Within the Analog, Power and Discretes, MEMS and Sensors (APMS) product group, the Analog, MEMS and Sensors (AM&S) division saw revenue increase by 7.0%, primarily driven by the imaging business. Operating profit increased by 2.1% to $221 million. Within the Power and Discrete (P&D) division, revenue decreased by 34.3%, with operating profit falling from $80 million to $67 million. Within the Microcontrollers, Digital ICs and RF Products (MDRF) product group, the Embedded Processing (EMP) segment saw revenue increase by 8.7%, primarily driven by general-purpose MCUs. Operating profit increased by 9.4% to $161 million.
