Ouyang Minggao, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, stated at the Second China All-Solid-State Battery Innovation and Development Summit Forum that the first-generation all-solid-state batteries based on sulfide electrolytes are expected to enter mass production between 2025 and 2027, with an energy density of 400 watt-hours/kg. The second-generation products are expected to enter mass production between 2027 and 2030, with an energy density increased to 500 watt-hours/kg. The third-generation products are planned for release between 2030 and 2035, with a target energy density exceeding 600 watt-hours/kg.
