Samsung wins manufacturing contract from US AI chip company

Samsung Electronics recently secured a foundry order exceeding $100 million from US AI chip startup Tsavorite, to manufacture its AI chips using Samsung's 4nm process technology. Tsavorite's AI chip, called an Operating Unit (OPU), integrates CPU, GPU, and DRAM onto a single chip. The OPU can be configured to meet the needs of different markets and applications. In November, Tsavorite also announced that it had received pre-orders exceeding $100 million from Fortune Global 500 companies, sovereign cloud service providers, and leading system integrators in the US, Asia, and Europe.
