Silan Microelectronics held a commissioning ceremony in Xiamen for its 8-inch silicon carbide (SiC) power device chip production line. This production line, independently developed and mass-produced by Silan Microelectronics, marks a significant leap for the company from technological breakthrough to large-scale delivery in the third-generation semiconductor field. The project has a total investment of 12 billion RMB and is being constructed in two phases. Upon full operation, it will have an annual production capacity of 720,000 8-inch SiC chips.
