ByteDance has internally confirmed the suspension of the Doubao AI glasses project, and it will no longer be a key development focus, at least for the foreseeable future. The core assessment is that AI glasses are unlikely to offer truly differentiated capabilities at present. Previously, it was reported that Doubao was collaborating with Runxin Technology and Lao Feng Xiang to develop AI glasses, with an expected launch in early 2026 and a price under 2000 yuan.
