NIO's self-developed chips have reached a production volume of over 550,000 units.

NIO founder William Li revealed that NIO has produced over 550,000 self-developed chips in total. Li pointed out that the automotive semiconductor industry faces three major challenges: surging demand for AI computing power, chip system fragmentation, and increased supply chain volatility. NIO is building core capabilities for the intelligent era and optimizing the performance and cost of high-value chips through self-developed and customized chips.
