At the China Intelligent Electric Vehicle 100 Forum, Zhuoyu CEO Shen Shaojie stated that all surviving autonomous driving companies will need to transform into physical AI companies. He believes this is not a strategic judgment, but a survival choice. As the autonomous driving industry develops, capital enthusiasm is gradually waning, the bandwidth of the market is narrowing, and the upper limit is visible. However, autonomous driving companies have found a new direction for development: physical AI. Physical AI refers to enabling physical hardware to possess intelligent capabilities through large models. Shen Shaojie believes that the requirements for autonomous driving capabilities are becoming increasingly demanding, and the models are becoming increasingly large. The training cost of the basic large models supporting intelligent driving has reached billions of RMB annually. Therefore, companies must apply large model technology to more vertical fields, spreading costs through cross-scenario large-scale applications.
