The Netherlands becomes the first European country to approve Tesla's FSD system.

On April 10, 2026, the Dutch Vehicle Authority (RDW) issued the first vehicle certification in Europe for Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver assistance system, making the Netherlands the first European country to approve the system for use on public roads. The system underwent 18 months of testing, accumulating over 1.6 million kilometers of driving and completing 13,000 user on-board experiences.
