Hongqi plans to accelerate its entry into the European market by partnering with Stellantis, the world's fourth-largest automaker, and utilizing its Spanish factory. Hongqi's parent company, FAW Group, is in talks with Stellantis through another Chinese electric vehicle company, Leapmotor. Both FAW and Leapmotor are shareholders in Leapmotor. This collaboration is a key step for Hongqi, which plans to launch more than 15 new energy vehicles in Europe by 2028.
