Linamar achieves double-digit growth in revenue and profit in the first quarter

Auto parts supplier Linamar achieved double-digit growth in revenue and profit in the first quarter of this year, mainly due to the rebound in auto parts sales and recent acquisitions. The company's overall revenue increased by 18.7% year-on-year to 2.72 billion Canadian dollars, a record high. Revenue from the mobile travel business was US$1.4 billion, up from US$1.3 billion last year. Revenue from the industrial business also increased from US$428 million to US$533 million. The company's operating profit in the first quarter increased by 38.7% to US$196.8 million.
