On July 7, 2021, the production line based on the world-class 6th generation IGBT chip technology started mass production, and the first batch of independently produced automotive-grade IGBT module products in Central China officially rolled off the production line. The first phase has a production capacity of 300,000 units, mainly producing 400V silicon-based IGBT modules. In April this year, Zhixin Semiconductor's second production line was put into use with a planned production capacity of 400,000 units, compatible with the production of 400V silicon-based IGBT modules and 800V silicon carbide modules, and the localization rate of the production line reached 70%. Zhixin Semiconductor said that the production line is expected to be put into mass production in July and put into large-scale use in October. The 800V silicon carbide module adopts nano-silver sintering process and copper bonding technology, with better heat dissipation performance, stronger voltage resistance, and 3% increase in energy conversion efficiency. Compared with foreign products with the same performance, the cost of this module is reduced by 30%, achieving a breakthrough from having to being excellent. In addition, Zhixin Semiconductor is planning its third production line with an annual production capacity of 500,000 units. By 2025, Zhixin Semiconductor will reach a total production capacity of 1.2 million IGBT modules, fully supporting Dongfeng Motor's sales target of 1 million new energy vehicles in the "14th Five-Year Plan".
