Samsung Electronics restarts HBM development team to catch up with SK Hynix

Although Samsung Electronics disbanded its dedicated HBM development team in 2019, it restarted the team this year. However, Samsung Electronics still has a certain gap compared with SK Hynix's market share in the HBM field. SK Hynix accounted for 59% of the HBM market share in the first quarter of this year, while Samsung Electronics accounted for 37%.
