US chip bill advances, Amkor receives $400 million in funding

The funding for the US Chip Act is continuing to advance, and Amkor has received direct funding of up to $400 million to support the construction of the largest packaging facility in the United States. The factory is expected to use 2.5D and 3D packaging technology, mainly serving self-driving cars, 5G/6G smartphones and large data center customers.
