Shenzhen Nanshan District implements the management measures for the testing and application of functional unmanned vehicles

Starting from February 5, the "Management Measures for the Testing and Application Pilot of Functional Unmanned Vehicles in Nanshan District, Shenzhen (Trial)" came into effect and will be valid for two years. The measures stipulate that the entities involved in the road testing and application pilot of functional unmanned vehicles should equip each vehicle with a safety officer. Functional unmanned vehicles refer to low-speed electric wheeled vehicles with no driver's seat or cockpit and with automatic driving functions, which can automatically and safely drive on the road without manual active operation, including unmanned delivery vehicles, unmanned retail vehicles, unmanned sweepers, unmanned security vehicles, etc.
