Xilinx is a semiconductor company headquartered in San Jose, California. It is a leading supplier of FPGA (programmable logic) in the automotive field. Founded in 1984, the company develops, manufactures and sells a wide range of advanced integrated circuits, software design tools and IP (Intellectual Property) cores as predefined system-level functions. Xilinx's products and solutions are widely used in high-performance computing, data centers, networking and communications, industrial automation and other fields, and are known for their flexibility and high performance. On October 27, 2020, AMD agreed to acquire Xilinx in a stock transaction worth $35 billion. We have been supplying FPGAs and programmable SoCs for ADAS camera and radar applications for over 10 years. Xilinx has provided more than 6,700 automotive-grade solutions to ADAS systems and autonomous driving mass-produced models of more than 200 companies (including Tier 1, OEMs, and startups). The company is targeting machine learning applications and expects to expand rapidly in a growing number of end markets, moving from edge processing to the cloud, or a hybrid convergence that combines edge processing with access to cloud-based data analytics. In July 2018, Xilinx announced the acquisition of DeePhi Technology, an industry-leading startup in the field of machine learning, focusing on deep compression, pruning and system-level optimization of neural networks.
