Intel's former chief technology officer Gelsinger joins xLight to promote EUV exposure machine technology development

Gelsinger, former Intel CTO and CEO, is now the executive chairman of xLight, a startup focused on developing extreme ultraviolet exposure system light source technology. EUV exposure machines are technologically advanced, and only ASML can currently manufacture related systems. Gelsinger said xLight has created a high-power LPP source, which will significantly reduce production costs and expenses. They plan to start producing this light source in 2028 and hope it will be compatible with existing ASML tools.
