Recently, Zhao Zhelun, former head of intelligent driving products at Ideal Auto, said on Weibo that pure vision models have not yet achieved mass production of AEB automatic emergency braking at speeds exceeding 100km/h, while vision + LiDAR models have achieved mass production of AEB automatic emergency braking at speeds exceeding 120km/h. He believes that the AEB function has a long working time and high failure cost, so it requires an extremely low false trigger rate and an extremely high obstacle spatial position perception accuracy. He pointed out that pure vision technology has limitations in terms of spatial position perception accuracy.
